summer summer summer summer SUMMER!!!

ha ha talk about never blogging. It's been so long I almost forgot I had this sight!!!!Anyhoo summer is here and life is different. For any of you who still read this here is a quick update on my life and my plans for the summer: My roomate whom I've had for the past 3 years is officially moved out of the house and in Australia!! which is so crazy!! I miss her allot already. My current roomate Ren is moving out in August, and soon I will have two new and completely different roomates: Danni and Billy. They are both girls :0).
This past 2 months my dad went through chemo and radiation to fight off the cancer the doctors found in his limp nodes and tongue. It was a pretty rough experience for my family and I to go through--especially my dad. Right now he is done with treatment and getting better. He is already back at school teaching for the last couple of weeks before summer begins. We are all hoping and praying that by the time he goes back to the oncologist in two months that the cancer will be completely gone, and that he will never have to go through treatment again.
This summer I will be staying and working in El Paso until the month of July. For the first week of July I will be visiting my Granny in Lubbock. Then I will return to El Paso and go to Creel, Mexico for the 3rd week. For the fourth week I will be going to Abilene, KS to my grandparents farm. Finally I will go home to good ole' Aztec for about a week in a half, before I return to El Paso for the new school year. Whoo what a mouth fool! haaaa so there you go my life and summer in a nut shell! I hope everyone's lives are going well!

Yay Life!

whoo finals are finally done! My semester is finally done!! Yay things are finally starting to slow down around here and I'm feeling allot more relaxed! Thank you Jesus! Sorry for any those of you who are reading this and are still in your finals week with a crazy life... ha ha well your probably not wasting time reading this blog if you are anyways :0). This semester has been the most enjoyable semester of all of my semesters, for 3 huge reasons. 1.) There was complete peace in my living situations. 2.) For the first time since I've been down here my job discription/pay/boss hasn't changed. It's remained at a nice constant. 4.) Texas dropped 12 of the required credits needed for education majors to graduate. Therefore I only took 12 credit hours this semester and am still up to par with my planned graduation date! God has blessed me with a much needed break for a semester and I couldn't be more thankful or blessed by Him! Anyways it's late here and I need to get to bed, just thought I'd update on my life for anyone who still reads these things!
In Christ,
Laura

How To Save A Life

So it's been forever since I last posted...sorry. For all of you who prayed for me Thank you soo much.. Anyhoo right now I'm on the couch with my little sis(who is currently watching Hamelet), and am typing on my HP laptop! yay new/used laptop! Life has been pretty good lately. The more I reflect on life the more I am beginning to come to the conclusion that people should always have fresh God stories in their life. I mean if we have a living friendship and relationship with Him than we should consistently have stories of how God is interacting in our lives. I say this because recently I have been lacking in personal God stories and this scares me. God always does a wonderful job at reminding me how much my life is lacking without Him. Anyhoo that was just some random thoughts of mine. Tomorrow our youth group is going to learn about true worship, and I'm really excited! Please pray that God would move so intimately with our kids and that they would begin to really experience the fullness of Him. Thanks everyone!

hmmm life

so I don't think anyone really reads these any more and that's probably why I feel more at liberty to post about this. Anyhoo I've been really anxious lately, to the point that I can't sleep anymore...please pray for me.
